Hola chicos ¿Cómo están?
Realmente bien en una Nevada Estocolmo. Comenzamos a ensayar para nuestra nueva gira por Europa con Backyard Babies. Comienza en Oslo el 28 de enero. Hicimos una buena gira por Europa y ahora es el momento de llegar a Suecia, Noruega y Dinamarca.
¿Como ha ido la gira europea con Backyard Babies?
Fantástica, nos gustó girar por un Nuevo país y conocer a gente buena. Esa es la razón por la que nos vamos de gira. Pasamos momentos agradables en el autobús y somos un gran equipo.
¿Cuéntennos vuestras experiencias sobre los conciertos en España?
¡España es magnífica! Un país cálido, con gente agradable a la que le gusta la buena música. Esperamos regresar pronto. Me gustó mucho Barcelona.
Vuestro nuevo álbum titulado “This Means War”. ¿Cómo ha estado funcionando?
Bien, el mejor hasta ahora. Espero que a ti también te guste el álbum. Nos apetece a mucha gente sienta el directo que hemos hecho. Somos una típica banda de directo.
El CD suena muy bien. ¿Dónde y con qué productor se grabó?
Kristoffer Follin, nuestro productor, hizo un buen trabajo y capturó el “sentimiento en directo” de nuestro sonido. La grabación se hizo en cinco días aquí en Estocolmo y Odenplan. Un equipamiento perfecto de amplificadores y batería y buenas vibraciones.
En la reseña que escribimos acerca del disco comentábamos que "Romance of Death" nos recuerda un poco a Motörhead. Qué triste la pérdida de un músico tan influyente como Lemmy.
Ah, es muy triste perder a músicos que inspiran. No solo a nosotros. Estos viejos artistas han inspirado a todo el mundo. También hoy fue un día triste. Perdimos a Bowie. Es triste. Espero que otras bandas y músicos puedan hacer canciones de la misma manera.
¿Cuál fue la canción más difícil de escribir y terminar en “This Means War”? y ¿Por qué?
Hehe, “Monster Blood” fue nuestro talón de Aquiles. ¡Pero ahora es una buena canción! Había demasiados acordes en la canción y necesitábamos acelerarla. Ahora está perfecta. Trasmite un sentimiento funky/punky.
¿Cómo es el proceso de concepción del álbum?Escribimos en el local de ensayo porque queremos capturar el sentimiento en directo. Después de eso probamos en los estudios y el productor nos dice sí o no junto con la banda. Estilo tradicional. Pero perfecto.
¿Quien diseñó la portada de “This Mean War”? y ¿Qué significa?
Oh, Es difícil de explicar, pero para hacer la historia corta. Oscar Hjelmgren es un artista sueco de comics, y su trabajo es el de la caratula. Somos nosotros como “superhéroes” y bajo nosotros hay aliens. Aliens muertos. Los aliens son una metáfora de la mala música y las malas personas que hay en el negocio musical, que hacen estas cosas solo por dinero.
Están contentos con el trabajo realizado por vuestro sello Despotz Records?
Absolutamente, es nuestro sello. Nos gustan
Hace poco leí la noticia de que "Max" es parte de Denimgoat, con músicos suecos como Nicke Borg de Backyard Babies, Ida de Crucified Barbara entre otros. ¿Cómo hicieron este interesante proyecto o banda?
Eh, esa es otra historia.
¿Tobbe y Mathias tocan en algún otro proyecto?
Siempre estamos creando, pero juntos somos mejores. Esta es nuestra banda de hermanos.
Continuamente nos impresionan la cantidad de bandas que salen de Suecia de todos estilos. ¿Tocáis mucho por allí. ¿Hay muchos sitios donde tocar?
Si, tratamos de tocar mucho por aquí, siempre es divertido, pero los suecos de alguna manera están llenos de buena música. Así que para nosotros de cierta manera es más divertido tocar en otros países =)
¿Cuáles son los planes para 2016?
Comenzar a girar de Nuevo el 28 de enero y el festival. Y también comenzar nuestro cuarto álbum.

Hey guys how are you?
Really nice in a snowy Stockholm. Just started to rehearse for our next tour here in Europe with Backyard Babies. Feels great. Start in Oslo 28 January. We had a really good tour in the rest of Europe and now it´s time for Sweden, Norway and Denmark.
The European Tour with Backyard Babies. How’s it going?
Fantastic, we like touring in new country and meeting new great people. That´s why we are on tour. We had a good time in the bus and it was a great team.
Tell us about your experience in the concerts in Spain?
Spain is great! A warm country, nice people that like´s good music. Hope we will be back soon. I really like Barcelona.
Your most recent album is “This Means War”. How’s it going in terms of audience response?
Good, the best so far. Hope also you like the album. It feels like the most people like the live feeling in what we have done. We are a typical live band.
The CD sounds really good. where it was recorded and that producer?
Kristoffer Follin, our producer did a really good job and caught the “live” feeling in our sound. Recorded in like 5 days here in Stockholm at Odenplan. Perfect gear like amps and drums and a good feeling.
In the review I wrote about the new album in the song says "Romance of Death" reminds me a bit to Motörhead. How sad the loss of such an influential musician as Lemmy.
Ah, it´s so sad to lose musicians that inspire. Not only us. These old artist inspires the hold world. Today was also a sad day. We lost Bowie. That is sad. Hope new bands and musicians can do music in the same way.
Which was the more difficult song in “This Means War” to write and finish? Why?
Hehe, Monster Blood was our Achilles heel. But now a good song! It was too many chords in the song and we needed to speed it up. So now it´s perfect. A really funky/punky feeling.
Do you usually enter the studios with all the songs finished? How do you do it?
We write in the rehearsal room ‘cause we want to catch the live feeling. After that we try it in the studio and the producer says yes or no together with the band. Traditional style. But perfect! Who created the cover of "This Mean War"? and what does it mean?
Oh, it´s hard to explain like this but to make a long story short. Oscar Hjelmgren is a Swedish comic artist, and it´s he´s work on the cover. It´s us as ”superheroes” and under us is aliens. Dead aliens. That aliens is a metaphor to bad music and bad people in the music business that only do this stuff for money.
Are you happy with the work done by Despotz Records?
Absolutely, it´s our record label. We like them!

We always create. But we are best together. This is like our brother band =)
It continues to impress me how many bands of all styles that exist in Sweden. You play a lot there. There are many places where to play?
Yeah we try to play a lot, it´s always fun. But Swedish people is in some ways full with good music. So for us it´s in some ways funnier to play in other countries =)
What are your plans for 2016?
Start touring again 28 January, and the festivald. And also start on the 4th album.
